Annette Dwyer

Annette Dwyer is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, who has resided in Texas since 1985. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Journalism and worked as a newspaper reporter and editor. Annette received her master’s degree in Public Administration from University of Houston Clear Lake and worked as an economic development planner and as a grants manager for Harris County. She is currently the communications director for an elected official.

In addition to serving on the board of the Mary Jane Carvel Foundation, Annette is deeply involved in the community and is a long‐time member of several non‐profit organizations. She has served on the boards of the
Assistance League of the Bay Area, the Lunar Rendezvous Festival, Clear Lake Area Panhellenic Association and Bay Area Museum Guild. She serves on the board of her homeowners’ association, and has been a volunteer for a number of other organizations.

Annette, her husband Pat Monks, and their children, Demerle and Daniel Monks, have a rescue dachshund, Fritz.
